Category Purchaser Auxiliary Materials (m/f/d)

The Category Purchaser actively supports the category management in defining supply strategies and negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best market conditions for AUMOVIO. 

As a Category Purchaser for Auxiliary Materials, you will be part of the international purchasing team within AUMOVIO. The focus of this position includes coating and decoration products, adhesive products (underfillers), solder wires and optical clear resins.

Your tasks will include:

• In a cross-functional environment, leading and being responsible for the definition and implementation of subfamily/material group strategies while considering AUMOVIO requirements;
• Conducting market analyses and building expertise and intelligence regarding markets, materials, technologies, and suppliers, particularly within coating, decoration, adhesive, soldering and resin-related product groups;
• Taking ownership of key sourcing activities, including supplier selection, price negotiations based on advanced negotiation concepts and the conclusion of legally binding contracts;
• Conducting negotiations for frame contracts and annual price agreements;
• Supporting supplier improvement programs, design-to-cost initiatives and other cost reduction measures;
• Ensuring efficient controlling through timely implementation of correct data in relevant systems, maintenance of purchasing data and monitoring of purchasing KPIs;
• Driving and supporting pooling activities with external cooperation partners.

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering;
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing preferably within the automotive industry;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office package (programs and SAP R/3);
• Fluent Business English;
• German knowledge is an advantage;
• Stress resistance, conflict resolution abilities, assertiveness;
• Intercultural sensitivity beside good networking and communication skills;
• Willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in purchasing technical materials, chemical products or auxiliaries is advantageous;
• Experience in the chemical industry and/or a strong chemical-technical understanding is highly desirable;
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills in an international environment.
