General Ledger Accounting Specialist (m/f/div)

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sibiu on a 1-year fixed-term contract. Remote work is not available for this role.
Check out your future responsibilities below:
- Managing general accounting activities, including prepaid expenses (e.g., insurance costs)
- Prepare monthly VAT journals and handle tax filings:
- Calculate and record accruals and provisions (payroll-related provisions, local taxes)
- Participate in the monthly and annual closing process
- Prepare financial reporting for group purposes
- Provide data, reports, and support for internal and external audits, tax authority requests and inspections
- Ensure compliance with client-specific requirements and internal procedures
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and projects
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation (tax, H&S, environmental, fire safety)
Tvoj profil
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance
- Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and Romanian local GAAP – OMF 1802, Law 82) and taxation (especially VAT and statutory reporting)
- Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP (FI, GL, AP, AR, CO modules)
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- English – advanced level
- Experience in projects (process improvements, implementations) – nice to have
