SAP consultant in Sales & Supply Network Planning (m/f/d)

The Sales & Supply Network Planning team within Automotive IT Business Applications competence center (A IT BA) is responsible for the support and continuous improvement of processes and solutions in the areas of medium to long-term planning, across our plants and related supply chain interfaces.
We are looking for a SAP consultant located in Timisoara office with strong technical expertise in ABAP development to support and enhance our SAP landscape based on SAP R/3, SAP S/4, SAP APO and their related interfaces. Key responsibilities include:
Managing the existing system environment
- Analyze business requirements, conduct system/process analysis and execute relevant configuration (customizing) for Sales & Supply Network Planning
- Provide second-level support for SAP systems, including investigation, monitoring as well as resolution of incidents and change requests.
- Analyze, support, and enhance interface integration between SAP ECC (R/3) and SAP APO including queue/transfer monitoring, error resolution, performance tuning, and change implementation for master and transactional data replication.
- Perform in-depth analysis and debugging of the existing ABAP programs
Enhance current planning applications
- Design and develop ABAP solutions (e.g. enhancements, reports, user exits/BAdIs, forms, batch jobs).
- Design and implement technical concepts for integrations and data flows (e.g., IDoc, BAPI/RFC, file-based interfaces, background processing), in alignment with architectural guidelines.
- Coordinate requirements and define solution concepts together with global competence center representatives as well as IT and Business specialists.
- Produce and maintain functional documentation, process descriptions, and specifications for new solutions and changes.
Strategic Transformation - Road to S/4 and SAP IBP
- Participate in and execute required activities across project milestones (e.g. Fit Gap, Business Blueprint definition, design, realization, testing, cutover and Hyper care).
- Provide technical support and expertise for ongoing and future migration activities from SAP ECC (R/3) to SAP S/4HANA, including impact analysis, code adaptation and system readiness.
- As part of the strategic roadmap, consult on and develop solutions for the integration and transition to SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP
Generic topics
- Provide guidance and share knowledge within the team related to your area of specialization.
- Contribute to workshops, trainings and cross-functional alignment meetings (global/regional/project calls).
- Manage own workload proactively to meet assigned deadlines and service commitments.
Tvoj profil
The hired individual will be responsible for delivering SAP Sales & Supply Network Planning solutions. The role combines functional process understanding with hands-on technical delivery (including, for example, analysis, debugging, enhancements, interfaces) and support across project and operational phases. Key requirements include:
- University degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience with full lifecycle SAP ERP implementations in Sales & Supply Network Planning or other logistics modules including involvement across design, build, test, and deployment phases.
- Several years of hands-on experience in ABAP development, including:
- Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)
- Enhancements, reports, interfaces, and debugging in complex SAP environments
- BI (Business Intelligence) data modelling and data flow
- SAP APO knowledge is a plus
- SAP IBP knowledge is a plus
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and business process knowledge in Sales & Supply Network Planning.
- Good knowledge of integration with other SAP logistics modules (e.g. MM, SD), including cross-functional process flows.
- Familiarity with S/4HANA migration topics is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in structured manner.
- Fast learner with experience working in international and cross-cultural environments; confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of initiative, reliability and assertiveness in driving topics to completion.
- Very good knowledge of the English language is required (in spoken and written form).
