R&D Mechanical Engineer - Internship
Your tasks
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically-minded Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our engineering team in Novi Sad, Južnobački okrug, Serbia. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to apply your mechanical engineering knowledge in a professional environment while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and processes. You will work alongside experienced engineers on meaningful projects that contribute to our organization's success.
- Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems using CAD software
- Interpret and create technical drawings and engineering blueprints under supervision
- Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects and design improvements
- Participate in the development and testing of prototypes and mechanical solutions
- Document design specifications, calculations, and project findings in an organized manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical challenges and implement solutions
- Support the preparation of technical reports and engineering documentation
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and maintain organized project files
- Contribute ideas and observations during team meetings and design reviews
- Adhere to engineering standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures
Your profile
- Student of final year on Mechanical Engineering study program
- Strong ownership and proactivity
- Eager to learn and grow competencies
- Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent programs
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, mechanics, and thermodynamics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Preferred: Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software or simulation tools
- Preferred: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production techniques and design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Preferred: Previous internship, project experience, or relevant coursework in mechanical engineering
- Preferred: Familiarity with engineering standards and technical documentation practices
