JIC Category Purchaser (strategic purchasing)
Responsabilități
We are looking for an experienced Category Purchaser to drive global supplier and category stratégy for direct materials and components, while managing key supplier relationships and sourcing activities in a dynamic automotive environment.
What you will do:
- Manage key supplier relationships and act as a global supplier champion
- Drive sourcing activities (supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, sourcing decisions)
- Conduct annual price negotiations and implement cost reduction & supplier improvement programs
- Perform market analyses and translate insights into sourcing strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement global purchasing strategy
- Ensure rollout of strategy across business units worldwide
- Drive and support cooperation and pooling activities with external partners
Cerințe
What makes you a best fit:
- Degree in economics, business, engineering or mechanical engineering
- Extensive experience in purchasing or customer/supplier-oriented roles (automotive preferred)
- Strong creativity and ability to develop new sourcing and supply chain concepts
- Independent, self-driven with high level of ownership
- Ability to challenge and find compromises
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Business-fluent English (spoken & written)
- Strong resilience, assertiveness and conflict resolution skills
- Willingness to travel (~20%)
