RF Antenna Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented RF Antenna Design Engineer to join our team in Santa Anita, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, implementing and optimizing RF antennas concepts and solutions for various wireless communication applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative antenna solutions that meet our clients' performance requirements.

• Responsibility to implement and verify antenna solutions in application, including automotive environment.

• Verification/benchmark of competitor products for internal/external antenna solutions.

• Setup of new measurement equipment for future requirements and for innovative products.

• Self-driven execution of simulation for performance prediction of complex antenna systems including multifunctional and multiband antennas while using self-written program packages (e.g. based on Mat lab, or C++,…)  or commercial available electromagnetic field simulation program packages based on FEM, FDTD, MoM or hybrid methods.

• Interdisciplinary alignment on the concept and price with stakeholders.

• Alignment and cooperation with the WW development RF team.

• Self-driven execution of antenna measurements of complex antenna systems including multifunctional and multiband antennas and comparison of measurement results to expectations.

• Listing of deviations between simulation and measurements and definition and implementation of countermeasures to recover deviations.

• Check suitability of simulation program packages for antenna development and electromagnetic field analysis for our products and make proposals.

• Propose and foster innovations.

• Check suitability of new technologies for our products.

• Presentation of results in front of internal and external customers.

• Documentation of results using available tools.

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, specialized in high frequency techniques and minimum 1 to 5 years of experience in antenna design.
• Experience in the systematical antenna design and electromagnetic field calculation.
• Extensive knowledge in the development of electrically small antennas.
• Knowledge in RF circuit design.
• Knowledge in numerical methods (MoM, FDTD, FEM, Hybrid methods).
• Extensive experience with RF program packages (FEKO, CST, HFSS, ADS, Ansoft Designer).
• Experience in antenna measurement techniques and in RF measurement techniques.
• Proficient in antenna application techniques.
• Knowledge in applications like AM-FM, DAB, RKE, PASE, TPMS, GSM/LTE/5G, GNSS, Bluetooth, UWB, SDARS, WLAN.
• Self-driven capability to work with a structured approach.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment both locally and internationally.
• Experience in intercultural working environment.
• Languages: English (mandatory), French and German (preferred).
