Operations Area Manager

Your tasks

Responsible to achieve together with a dedicated team production targets on specific Assembly equipment with regards to quality & OEE. Leads, manages and develops the Assembly team.

Main task: 

  • Ensures the production in required quantity and quality according the production plan
  • Ensures continuous improvement within dedicated team with regards to performance of lines, decrease the scrap and reduce idle times
  • Communicates management information to team members
  • Guides individual development of team members, gives feedback on performance and behavior
  • Conflict management within team
  • Solves problems / conflicts with other teams
  • Ensures that availability of service personnel (maintenance, logistics etc) if needed
  • Ensures sequence of lots according to production schedule, is responsible for fulfilling the delivery plan (e.g. through optimized sequence of change over, etc). 
  • Ensures availability of human resources for assembly equipment according to production schedule
  • Plans absences (days off, vacation, training etc for dedicated team)
  • Posts all data required in IT system /electronic shift book
  • Ensures information flow to following shift team
  • Coordinates the training of team members; ensures that only trained operators work on respective work station
  • Monitors the production process in area of responsibility
  • Solves quality issues together e.g. with QM, IE
