TN_202606_25 Serial Life Management (SLM) Engineer

Your tasks

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve SMT manufacturing processes to achieve quality, productivity, and cost objectives.

  • Optimize SMT process parameters including solder paste printing, SPI, pick-and-place placement, reflow soldering, and AOI inspection.

  • Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), First Pass Yield (FPY), process capability, and throughput.

  • Conduct process validation, machine qualification, and line readiness activities for new product introductions.

  • Provide technical support for SMT production lines and automated equipment.

  • Troubleshoot process, machine, and quality-related issues to minimize downtime and production losses.

  • Support and optimize equipment such as:

    • Fuji Pick-and-Place Machines

    • Koh Young SPI Systems

    • Viscom AOI Systems

    • Reflow Ovens

    • Solder Paste Printers

    • Other equivalent SMT platforms

  • Collaborate with Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and preventive maintenance effectiveness.

Your profile

  • Experience with automated SMT equipment  preferably Fuji machine,  Koh Young SPI, Viscom AOI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience supporting automotive, industrial, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing operations in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SMT processes and equipment, including solder paste printing, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and related process controls.
  • Proven experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and defect reduction within SMT production lines.Strong knowledge of quality and problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, 7 QC Tools, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Experience in new product launch, line setup, process validation, machine qualification, and process documentation.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, OEE improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Industrial Engineering.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve productivity (OEE), first-pass yield (FPY), and overall process capability.
