Position Overview:

The Senior Hardware/Baseband Engineer to join our Telematics R&D team, responsible for developing NAD(Network Access Device)s supporting next-generation Telematics Control Units (TCUs) for global automotive OEMs. We deliver high-performance hardware platforms that integrate cellular (LTE/5G), GNSS, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and in-vehicle network technologies, while ensuring full compliance with automotive standards.

This role combines core hardware development with baseband design, validation, and integration, ensuring optimal wireless performance in demanding automotive environments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and validate hardware and baseband solutions for next-generation Telematics Control Units (TCUs) and NAD platforms.
  • Analyze and debug high-speed modem interface signal integrity issues, including PCIe and USB interfaces.
  • Perform system-level integration, validation, and root-cause analysis across hardware, modem, and software domains.
  • Optimize thermal performance and power consumption to meet automotive reliability and efficiency targets.
  • Investigate and resolve memory-related issues, including stability, performance, and interoperability concerns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EMC(Electromagnetic Compatibility)/EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) issues to ensure compliance with automotive and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using laboratory measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and power analyzers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RF(Radio Frequency), software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams, to support product development and issue resolution.
  • Support design verification, failure analysis, and field issue investigations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of hardware design methodologies, validation processes, and engineering best practices.

Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in hardware development and baseband system integration for wireless or automotive products.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and debugging high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and USB.
  • Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed digital design principles.
  • Experience optimizing thermal performance and power consumption in embedded or automotive systems.
  • Proven experience analyzing and resolving memory-related issues involving DDR(Double Data Rate), NAND(NAND Flash Memory), eMMC(embedded MultiMediaCard)/UFS(Universal Flash Storage), or similar memory subsystems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving EMC/EMI issues in compliance with automotive standards.
  • Proficiency in using measurement and debugging equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and related tools.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication and connectivity technologies such as LTE/5G, GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System), Wi-Fi, Ethernet, CAN, or related interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis in complex system environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional global development environment.
  • Experience with automotive development processes and standards is a plus.
