ANS_PL1_HPC Technical Project Leader (System Engineering TPL)

Customer Interface & Stakeholder Management (Primary Responsibility)

  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for JOEM customers across all phases of the project—from acquisition to SOP.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customer engineers, project leads, and technical decision-makers.
  • Lead and facilitate regular customer meetings, including technical discussions, issue tracking, and progress reviews.
  • Drive early clarification of technical requirements, changes, and scope alignments with customers to prevent uncertainty and delays.
  • Ensure transparency and alignment between customer expectations and internal development teams, acting as a two-way communication bridge.
  • Manage customer escalations and proactively coordinate internal resources to drive resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.

Local Technical Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate the local cross-functional project team in Japan (Software, Hardware, Mechanical, System).
  • Assign and track technical work packages, ensuring quality and timely delivery aligned with customer and internal milestones.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment through effective communication, clear goal-setting, and support.
  • Support development and mentoring of junior engineers and serve as a local technical leader.

Regional and Global Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between local team in Japan and Asia-based development hubs (e.g., Singapore, China, India, ASEAN), ensuring regional alignment and efficient resource utilization.
  • Coordinate and align with global platform teams, portfolio management, and engineering centers in Europe.
  • Ensure the integration of regional contributions into the overall HPC product and facilitate cross-border issue resolution and technical alignment.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Support the creation and maintenance of project timelines, technical deliverables, and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure technical compliance with customer development processes (e.g., Milestones, ASPICE, ISO26262).
  • Monitor technical risks, escalate critical issues, and propose mitigation plans with stakeholders.

Quote & Acquisition Support

  • Work closely with the Business Development and Quote Teams to analyze customer requirements and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Provide technical inputs for RFI/RFQ responses and attend technical clarification meetings with customers.

Localization & Product Integration

  • Ensure successful integration of Japan-specific features (e.g., DTV, ETC, VICS) in cooperation with the global development team.
  • Support technical validation and vehicle-level integration efforts with customers and local validation teams.
  • Capture and share learnings from Japan market needs and customer feedback with global portfolio and R&D teams.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and status reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in milestone reviews (MLC), technical audits, and customer reviews as the technical lead for the Japan-localized portion of the project.

职位要求

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive product development, with a strong customer-facing project role.
  • Experience managing or leading cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Proven experience working with Japanese OEMs in a technical leadership capacity.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business-level English communication.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HPC systems, connected infotainment, or ADAS/ECU platforms.
  • Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO26262, and automotive-grade development tools (e.g., DOORS, JAZZ, JIRA).
  • Experience working with or coordinating teams in China, India, or other Asian engineering centers.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded software platforms such as Linux, QNX, or Android Automotive OS.
