Material Analyst II

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Analyze inventory levels, determine the proper inventory to satisfy customer demand and schedule the production orders considering available resources and staffing. 

• Analyze inventory levels for externally procured product, maintain forecast and consider customer demand and place purchase order to external vendors. 

• Track inbound shipments and coordinates timely and efficient delivery to our warehouse(s) by coordinating with corporate carriers and the transportation department. 

• Compare customer requirements with forecast and update SAP in coordination with Product Manager and Sales to provide the highest material availability at the lowest cost.  

• Review KPI’s such as Logistics Cost of Sales, Working Capital, Inventory, Delivery Performance, and Freight expenses 

• Review and improve the quality of logistics parameters in SAP in support of goals and objectives. 

• During the product life cycle process reviews material status, forecast and inventory level and coordinates with purchasing, product manager and controlling. 

• Takes input from customer service and sales to ensure planning parameters are in line with material availability and demand. 

• Work with the receiving and accounts payable departments to ensure receipts from vendors are processed accurately and generate timely payment to vendors. 

• Receive nonconformance reports and resolve overages or short shipments with vendors and accounting. 

• Track inventory level of consumption base packing material and place purchase orders to vendors and schedule delivers to our warehouse(s). 

• Escalates material availability issues, vendors delays and capacity issues to management and provides possible resolutions. 

• Participate on weekly internal meetings to aligned on information shared with customers. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

• Bachelors degree or minimum 4 years of relevant experience

• 2 years logistics experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment. 

• Material planner or purchasing experience 

• Previous ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, etc.). 

• Resourceful problem solving with strong analytical and numerical skills 

• Ability to take initiatives and work with limited supervision 

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects 

• Ability to work effectively with team 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
