We are seeking a talented and experienced Local Project Manager (PM) to join our team in Yokohama, Japan. As a Local PM, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success in our Yokohama office.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for local initiatives
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels
- Manage project resources, including team members and vendors
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive project progress
- Collaborate with other departments to align project goals with organizational objectives
- Adapt project management methodologies to suit local business practices and culture
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Prepare and present project reports and documentation
Requisitos
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in Japan
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Strong skills in using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Japanese and English
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
- In-depth knowledge of local business practices and regulations in Japan
- Understanding of Japanese work culture and communication styles
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in stakeholder management and client relations
