Customer Interface & Requirement Engineering (Primary Responsibility)

  • Act as the primary interface to JOEM customers for all software-related requirements across acquisition and development phases.
  • Lead discussions with customer system and software engineers to clarify, negotiate, and finalize software requirements.
  • Analyze customer RFQs, specifications, and change requests to derive clear, consistent, and testable software requirements.
  • Translate system and vehicle-level use cases into software functional requirements and non-functional requirements (performance, timing, safety, etc.).
  • Ensure full traceability from customer requirements to software feature implementation and validation.

Requirement Management & Change Control

  • Use appropriate tools (e.g., JAZZ, DOORS, JIRA) to manage and maintain software requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Track requirement changes, assess their impact, and coordinate internally with software, system, and validation teams for proper implementation.
  • Facilitate reviews and approvals of software requirements with both internal stakeholders and customers.

Localization & Feature Integration

  • Coordinate the integration of Japan-specific functions (e.g., DTV, ETC, VICS) into global software platforms.
  • Align localization scope with system architects, product owners, and development teams in Asia and Europe.
  • Capture regional feature expectations and ensure they are reflected in requirement documents and software development plans.

Collaboration with Development Teams

  • Work closely with global software development teams (e.g., in Singapore, China, India, EU) to ensure accurate implementation of customer requirements.
  • Support clarification of requirements during development iteration and feature integration testing.
  • Provide requirement clarification support during bug triage, validation, and customer issue analysis.

Support for Acquisition & Quotation Phase

  • Analyze customer RFIs/RFQs to provide input for feasibility assessments and feature scope definitions.
  • Support business development teams in defining initial software assumptions, delivery boundaries, and risk areas.
  • Contribute to early customer alignment workshops and requirement breakdown discussions.

Process Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all software requirements conform to ASPICE SWE.1–SWE.3 standards.
  • Participate in internal and external reviews, milestone assessments, and technical audits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high-quality requirement deliverables.

Votre profil

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded automotive software development or requirement engineering.
  • Strong understanding of automotive software lifecycle and software architecture.
  • Proven experience interfacing with Japanese OEMs, especially in technical or requirement-related roles.
  • Proficient in Japanese and English (both written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with requirement management tools such as DOORS or JIRA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in HPC/IVI/Connected Infotainment platforms or complex ECU development.
  • Understanding of ASPICE SWE processes, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), or Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434).
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, Linux, Android Automotive, or QNX platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with global software teams, especially in Singapore, China, India, or Europe.
  • Ability to define and document software features from a user-centric and system-integrated perspective.
