Responsible to lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Supplier Quality Function for Category supplier base in Asia.
• Maintain the Global Category Supplier Panel for the region aligned with the Purchasing Category Strategy.
• Support the Definition and implementation of category specific quality standards.
• Drive Lessons Learned & Read Across items to avoid recurrences at/and across suppliers.
• Perform and follow up VDA 6.3 audits with Suppliers, the assessment and introduction of potential new suppliers in close cooperation with BA Supplier Management, Category Management, Business Area R&D and Purchasing
• Support Plant Supplier Quality in case of escalation for respective categories within the SQM organization, internally /externally as required.
• Initiate and manage supplier improvement programs with Supplier’s top Management and change management for running production components.
• Escalation Management on worldwide basis, Preparation and performing Management meetings with suppliers. e.g., Red Alerts
• Support the BA / Plant SQM Teams in activities such as Supplier Maturity Evaluation, Design review with R&D, Supplier Component Review, Sourcing decision, APQP, Run@rate, PPAP for components on the assigned category.
• Review of sourcing documentation and preparation for team decision
•Urgent support oversea plant for problem solving of quality issues in Chinese suppliers on request
Tu perfil
•Bachelor degree or above in Science and Engineering, preferred metal material, metal forming
• Extensive knowledge of AIAG requirements, Quality Tools & Lean Manufacturing (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, Six Sigma, 8D management & SPC). QMC VDA6.3 certification is mandatory
•At least 5 years of experience in SQM and/or in project management preferrably in automotive industry. Also continuous improvement, quality assurance, industrial engineering, production, escalation management.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes: Metal forming/Forging/ Forging assembly, Turning and Machining, Heat Treatment, Technical cleanliness, Marking / Traceability, AOI system, Functional testing, Assembly's technologies, Audit Management
• Willingness to travel in Domestic and International from working time.
• Analytic and structured approach, result oriented, decision-making ability.
• Self-assured, self-driven, leadership, willingness to take responsibility, team spirit, ability to work under pressure.
• Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques.
• Advanced English (Fluent, written and spoken), ready for technical discussions and negotiations with suppliers, work effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Minitab or equivalent, Visio)
• Experience in working & coordination of international teams on quality and project issues
• Understanding for different foreign cultures (NAFTA / Asia, several European cultures)
