SAP Basis Consultant - two-year determined contract (TM)

Your tasks

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize the technical infrastructure of our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SAP system administration, database management, system upgrades, performance tuning, and security management across SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and components, including S/4HANA, ECC, BW, SCM, PI/PO, Solution Manager and Fiori.
  • SAP Output Management
  • Implementation of SAP Security Notes
  • Manage SAP system landscapes and transport routes.
  • Monitor client copies, system refreshes, and system migrations in collaboration with external partners
  • Oversee database administration tasks (HANA, Oracle, SQL, or DB2).
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high system availability and reliability.
  • Analyze system logs, dumps, and workload statistics to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement tuning measures and proactive monitoring using SAP tools (ST03N, ST06, DBACOCKPIT etc).
  • Plan and execute SAP upgrades, support packages, enhancement packs, and database upgrades.
  • Support system conversions and migrations (e.g., from ECC to S/4HANA or on-premise to cloud).
  • Manage SAP landscape transformations and integration projects.
  • Manage SAP user roles, profiles, and authorizations.
  • Implement and maintain system security, including SSL, SSO, SNC, and encryption settings.
  • Coordinate with audit and compliance teams to ensure system integrity and adherence to company policies.
  • Design and manage system backup and recovery procedures.
  • Participate in system restoration and disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for all SAP systems and configurations.
  • Provide technical support to application and functional teams.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations as needed.

Your profile

  • Min. 3 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and system support.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Basis administration in both ABAP and Java stacks.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
  • Understanding of transport management, ChaRM in Solution Manager.
  • Knowledge of SAP Router, SAP Web Dispatcher, and Gateway services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on system stability and reliability.
