Manufacturing Associate II (Repair Operator)
Your tasks
The position requires Manufacturing Associate II (Rework/Production Operator) being an active participant in an autonomous manufacturing team, actively providing and implementing ideas to improve their process. Manufacturing Associate II operators are expected to maintain their trainings and skill for reworking the product in compliance with industry standards with highest quality.
- Perform a wide variety of electronic rework tasks including soldering, swapping parts, populating the PCB, and verify the quality of rework per IPC (Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits) standards
- Perform standard work instructions given by Quality department, refer drawings, process change notifications to repair or modify assemblies.
- Stay up to date with IPC (610 H, 7711/7721), AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and X-Ray certifications.
- Identify essential soldering aids, soldering tips and associated consumables and maintain necessary inventory.
- Follow established safety, production, and quality procedures
- Participate in the team’s daily start-up communications meeting, assigns work, and establishes job rotation
- Maintain personal training documentation/status including any on-the job training
- Follow defined Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and provide input for improvement
- Perform workstation audits and inspections and follow-up on abnormalities
- Ensure individual compliance for all established policies and procedures
- Determine and react if operating conditions become abnormal
- Actively preserve normal conditions of equipment and/or processes
- Ensure team achieves daily 5S+1, Quality, Delivery, Kaizen, and Cost goals
- Employ various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, 8 D, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action
- Participate in teams Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cell
Full-Time (4 days working, 4 days off): B Shift
Your profile
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- 0-2+ years of manufacturing or logistics experience required.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
- Relocation will not be provided
- 2+ years’ experience as a rework technician working on electronics and circuit boards with maintaining the highest quality
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong time management skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications: (Not required, will provide training)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience manufacturing electronic or semi-conductor products
- 5 years’ experience as a rework technician working on electronics and circuit boards with maintaining the highest quality
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires the ability to sit and stand for up to 10+ hours per day (and working with microscope
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to Push, Pull Reach, Twist, Turn, Stoop, Walk, Stand for up to10+ hours.
