IT Consultant for Business Managed Applications infrastructure (TM)

Your tasks

As IT Consultant for Business Managed Applications infrastructure (m/f), you will support our global servers provisioning process within the Business Managed Applications requests area. The role covers the complete lifecycle:

  • Conduct technical consultancy sessions with global internal customers before provisioning the IT infrastructure resources.
  • Support requestors across various internal requests platforms.
  • Manage, in an automated manner, the lifecycle of virtual server infrastructure assets across our global environment:
    • Ensuring accuracy of servers owners and applications hosted
    • Monitoring OS compliance
    • Tracking vulnerability mitigation implementation
    • Maintaining CMDBs data quality
    • Conducting mass communication with servers owners
    • Actively contributing to projects related to managed servers

As a member of the Service Management and Integration team you will have the opportunity to develop and implement you own ideas, work independently within our defined framework and directly impact the success of the future IT organization as well as our automotive business.

You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, operations, project, and application & server owner teams to ensure compliance, transparency, and timely migrations across the global environment - leveraging automation and data integration as key enablers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT Infrastructure technical consultancy to worldwide managed server requestors by understanding the hosted application landscape and recommending appropriate infrastructure setups.
  • Maintain and continuously improve CMDBs data accuracy for virtual server assets globally through automated and recurring processes.
  • Ensure proper assignment of server owners and responsible contacts when inconsistencies are detected through automated mechanisms.
  • Monitor server machine usage, lifecycle status, OS versions, patch compliance and unused infrastructure resources.
  • Manage and track migrations of obsolete operating systems (e.g. Windows Server 2012, 2016 etc.).
  • Integrate and analyze data from Excel, CSV, SharePoint, databases and Power BI.
  • Generate automated and personalized bulk communications to application owners.
  • Design, implement, maintain dashboards and reports on CMDBs health, lifecycle compliance, migration status etc.
  • Support global infrastructure projects, including server migrations and OS upgrades.
  • Present technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your profile

  • 2 - 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or IT services environments.
  • Solid understanding of ITSM processes, particularly CMDB and Asset Management
  • Experience with virtualized server environments (Windows Server & Linux).
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience working with structured data (Excel, CSV, SharePoint, reporting tools).
  • Experience in scripting, workflow automation, low-code development, and data pipelines - ideally API-oriented. Not tied to specific technologies, but capable of enabling data collection, processing and integration into automated processes such as updating data repositories, reports, SharePoint lists, or bulk email sending and tracking.
