Responsible for:
• Leading daily activities of a manufacturing team consisting of production operators.
• Leading the production team’s daily start-up meeting, ergonomic work, and establishes job rotation.
• Guiding the team in the development and use of standard work instructions.
• Performing first response troubleshooting and minor first line maintenance activities during production line down.
• Ensuring team achieves daily 5S+1, quality, delivery, Kaizen, and cost goals.
• Making recommendations for individual recognition for goal achievement and contributions.
• Employing various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action.
• Driving Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cells.
• Ensuring individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures.
• Leading the team in completion of required preventative maintenance activities.
• Performing cell audits and inspections and follows-up on abnormalities; charts/tracks team progress.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of a Manufacturing Associate operator as required.
Full-Time (4 days working, 4 days off)
Day shift: 8:00am-6:30pm
4 days on, 4 days off
Your profile
Minimum Job Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of employment in a manufacturing environment.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Adheres to quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effectively communicates with team members & leadership.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Relocation will not be provided.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing continuous improvement measures.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
*Ability to work in a manufacturing shop floor environment
*Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (10+ hour shifts) and move between training locations, production lines, and workstations
*Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 40 lbs unassisted, and heavier items with assistance or material handling equipment
*Ability to perform frequent and coordinated two‑handed tasks involving continuous finger, hand, wrist, and arm movements, requiring fine motor control, steady grip, and precise alignment
*Ability to maintain balance and stability while handling and transporting materials
*Ability to alternate between standing, walking, and sitting during training delivery and administrative tasks
*Ability to reach, bend, and stoop and perform occasional repetitive movements throughout the shift
*Ability to push and pull carts, training materials, and equipment as needed
*Ability to work in an environment with continuous background noise and sounds generated by production equipment and material handling processes
*Ability to perform computer-based tasks, including use of computer systems, software applications, and the ability to read and interpret information displayed on a computer screen and hand-held devices
*Ability to maintain control of small parts and assemblies to prevent damage or product loss
*Ability to maintain visual awareness and focus to inspect parts, verify orientation, read screens, and identify defects or abnormalities
*Ability to maintain hand-eye coordination to safely and efficiently handle and position components during production operations
*Frequently work at a consistent production pace in a cycle-based manufacturing environment
*Ability to perform fine motor tasks to demonstrate processes and support operator training activities
*Frequently maintain visual awareness and focus to observe trainees, monitor performance, and verify to standard work
*Frequently move between workstations, warehouse, and production areas frequently to support team operations
*Frequently observe work processes, monitor performance, and respond to issues in real time
*Must wear company-provided PPE, including ensuring ESD safety-toed shoes maintain continuous grounding, and wearing an ESD smock, and other required protective equipment as necessary
